I am a 39 year old aspiring coder and web-developer in Fresno, California. I am currently proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as capable of making static, responsive, mobile first websites using Bootstrap. I can also build dynamic web pages using Angular2, and have experience building and working with full MEAN stack applications. Recently, I have been working with Docker to containerize existing applications. I am currently employed by Bitwise Industries as part of the Geekwise Cohort internship program.
The one activity for me that reinforces the adage "Practice makes perfect", going from barely being able to crack 100 my first few weeks bowling to maintaining an average over 215 for the past few years has been one of the accomplishments I am most proud of.
Hockey
One of my favorite sports, ice hockey is not only a great workout, but it's the perfect activity to counteract the 100°+ weather with a sub 40° ice rink. I have enjoyed playing either roller or ice hockey for over 20 years.
Mother Mary's
From 2010 to 2017, I managed, and in the later stages owned, Mother Mary's Italian Kitchen in Clovis, CA. A family owned business, I did everything from answering phones and expediting orders to maintaining the company ledger and paying the bills, and gained a myriad of skills in the proccess.
Fighting Games
My most recent hobby, while I play many different types of video games, fighting games in particular are quite special to me. After seeking out a local community that plays the same fighting games I do, I have met some of my closest friends thanks to fighting games, and try to travel and attend out of town tournaments whenever I can.
